It's been slim pickings for me the past couple days. Spent Thursday and Friday on the lake, and hit the couple places I have caught fish before and got skunked! Never found any big schools of fish, but managed to find a few small schools. We dropped gizzards and ales down, and the bait would get really nervous, but no strikes or anything. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...maybe they just weren't hungry. Should I just ride around and find big schools? The small schools I found were in about 30 feet of water.

I've been hearing some reports of some very big schools - sorry, don't have intel on location. I'd guess in mouths of some of the major creeks mid-way on the river arms.
"Super Moon" tonight or tomorrow night - bite may be more mid-day.

I'm not sure what to try...heard of some huge schools today, but I sure didn't see them. I hit B&B, but I couldn't find anything. Gonna give it a shot in the morning, hopefully we can find a few. Will let you guys know. If you are on the lake tomorrow, let me know. Would enjoy meeting up with some of you guys.

Talked to a fella about 5;00 am as I was leaving the lake thurday morning, He said the where chewin down near the dam, thundersticks , said they only left because of the fog. Fished Wednesday night and last night (Friday) Didn't get a decent limit out of both nights together. got 5 lmb wed, 2 last night and got an 8 lb striper, he wrecked the hooks on my thunderstick. missed several blow ups, bright night out, they won't eatin it as good. Talked to a lot of folks on the water a lot of whom seemed to have caught less than us.

Question: When you guys are talking about the B&B creeks, are you talking about bull run and little bull run?

Not sure, but I always took it as Beckys and Bettys, I fish them quite a bit and usually in one or both see striper rigs trolling around. About half way to the hales ford bridge from state park there is an island on the right, behind that is the mouth to both creeks.

Well, I fished most of the day yesterday. There were several boats in B&B, but we never saw anyone hook up. Found a few small schools of fish, but couldn't seem to get them to do anything. Eventually we lost 1 and boated 3. On the fish finder, all we would see was scattered arches, the biggest group might have been 10.

Fished B & B Saturday night not a lot hitting, got one small green fish and a small rock bass. Wind was terrible and storm clouds kept coming in. didn't see any thing up near the banks, finally left as it got cloudy and hit a little rain on the way home.
