Are you licensed to do this work? Do you carry insurance?

Licenses cost money and those of us who follow the law sometimes charge more than those who don't. What you are advertising here is illegal. I am not sure what the ProBoards policy is on the promotion of illegal activity on their site.

Not meaning to bust your chops.
This is from the state of VA website (http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/):
"If the work you are considering is valued at $1,000 or more, a valid Virginia Contractor’s License is required for the license category in which the contractor is to work. Licensed contractors are subject to laws designed to protect the consumer. By hiring a licensed contractor, you become eligible to receive monetary compensation from the Contractor Transaction Recovery Fund in case of improper or dishonest conduct. Licensed contractors possess the necessary education and experience to perform competently. Unlicensed contracting is against the law."
Makes it sound like anything under $1000.00 isn't covered.
I am not trying to tell you not to work. Sometimes you see guys who only work for cash though, and you know they aren't paying taxes on it, much less licensing fees.
The key is for those of us who play above board to work for clients who will only hire legitimate workers.
Good luck.

Different counties and towns have laws governing lawn care.... Pittsylvania co where I live has nothing....campbell co and town if altavista is a different story entire....city of Lynchburg is very strict and enforce it hard....I keep a 1 million dollar liability policy at all times but that isn't much considering doctor bills and or some of the properties I work
