Evening guys and gals.
I moved to the Lynchburg area a little over a year ago, and have just started trying to fish SML. I grew up in eastern NC, fishing for stripers in the Roanoke River, and both Roanoke Rapids Lake and Lake Gaston. It's what I love to do, but it took me a little while up here before I ended up with a boat. Now that I've got that squared away, I'm going to start chasing them up at the lake as often as I can! I managed to get out this past weekend, and caught a few fish, and had a great time. Hope I can see some of you up on the water.

Great handle! I'm a Pack fan myself! Started my wildlife management degree there but finished it down in AR.

Thanks Cornelia, I see that you do Coast Guard inspections. I hate I missed the boat show. Please let me know if there is another event where you will be doing them.

mytoyz, We fished out of a boat a couple weeks ago right below Kerr. You can only get the boat up there when they are running water, and there are tons of big rocks just below the surface. Can get a little hairy, but we did well. Caught 6 stripers, all 20-25". One on a topwater plug and the rest on threadfin. We caught more catfish than I've ever caught though. Boated 5 fish between 15-18 lbs, and 6 that were 10-12. A bunch of sub 10 lbers... They are a ton of fun in all that current.
Thanks Cornelia. I will have to get my registration sticker and numbers for VDGIF before I catch up with you. Right now I am using my 90 day temporary registration from the DMV.
