Hello all,
I'm new to the site and somewhat new to the Roanoke area. I grew up fishing and hunting in Southern California, but relocated to Roanoke County with my family, and we love it! I have fished SML with Capt. Todd on the Shad Taxi three times and am officially addicted to Striped Bass. I also do a certain amount of LM/SM bass fishing at Carvins Cove and Channel Catfish fishing at SML.

Welcome - Todd has a habit of inflicting the addiction on others. Just know it's not as easy as he makes it look

What Mike says is exactly right, at least for most of us. There's a few around this site that seem to have it figured out, Mward being one of them. There's also a bunch of great information and lots of good laughs around here. Just pull up a seat and join in. Welcome aboard.

Heck, Hotdog, if you've ever seen me throw a net or try and manage pulling 3 boards on each side, then you'd know I sure don't make it look easy ;D Bentrod will attest to that But definitely agree with you on the good info and good folks to share info and laugh a bit with (or at..... ). Don't hesitate to ask questions even if you think they may have been asked many times - always something new to learn from folks, regardless of how long they've been at it - and I think hearing from folks that fished different waters with different techniques is always very interesting as well.

You guys are completely right because when my buddy and I decided to catch Stripers on his own boat it was waaaay harder than on the Shad Taxi. In reality, I don’t really mind being humbled as long as I keep learning and improving.
