Hoped to enjoy most of the weekend fishing but with the Chilly, Windy days fri and sat I decided to sit those out. Saturday night we attended a happening at Bigjon's house and had a good ol time and Sunday night finally got out and fished for alittle while. The crazies have definitely moved in for the summer season as the lake was a madhouse till dark. We set up on main lake points fishing tight to the bank and out to 10' deep or so. Picked up a few channels, one striper on a bream, and a 16lb Flathead. I missed several runs as well and as the temperature dropped we pulled out around 11 so not a bad night overall.

I use 6/0 - 8/0 Gamakatsu Octopus Hooks. Not the circles but the regulars. I hear the Gamakatsu river hooks work really well I just haven't switched over to em yet. I hook em behind the anal fin kinda low. I dont really have a problem with the hooks turning back into the fish that way.
