Got quite a problem on my fish and ski with bait scales sticking like glue to the boat finish. Tried using a nylon brush and water but these are pretty dried on. Anyone have any tricks for getting these up? The Mrs. is frowning....but I might get a real fishin boat out of this!!

Ha! Great problem to have Those things stick to everything - I'll find them stuck to my skin all the time days after fishing (and yes, I take a shower once a week if I need it or not ;D) I've found the best thing is to soak them back down an use water pressure - a pressure washer is great (not too strong or too close) and even just the "jet setting" of a hose nozzle will do. Something like Clorox Cleanup sprayed on for a while, then scrubbing and washing down with some good spray will go a very long way. Works great on the white bay boat that is all fiberglass/gel coat and no carpet or colored fabrics to worry about - not sure how it might work on your Fish & Ski. But, just let those scales keep building up - and then you can get her a pontoon and you a true fishing boat ;D

Thanks mward...I know what you mean about those scales, found one on my iphone yesterday and I haven't fished since Friday! I'll get the boy to try the pressure washer after getting them good and soaked. I figured if there was an easy way to do it, someone on this board would know!

Of course BentRod always tells me a clean boat won't catch fish!

You wash your boat!? Bloody decks catch fish. I'm with Tyler. Of course, I just hate washing my boat.
