Hi Guys
I just purchased a used bait tank(20gal Creekbank) it currently has a short wire with battery post clips. In order for me to clip to battery my tank needs to be in back of boat, I dont have room. If I romove clips and wire on a 12 volt cig. lighter adaptor, will this work. I have a 24v system for trolling motor 12v for cranking and all other acc. will running bait tank off of 12 v affect my fish electronics. Thanks for any help

Should work fine - the pumps pull around 3-4 Amps. Just make sure your cig lighter outlet is fused. Is this outlet tied to your cranking battery? A long day and night in the water can pull that battery way down and you might not be able to crank the motor. Might consider a group 26 or so sized battery for the tank pump.
You may or may not get sme interference on your electronics from the bait tank pump. Just have to see.

Mike is right on the interference. It's a crap shoot. Most upper end electronics will give you adjustments to get it out.
