launched at the state park to fish for the night, thought with the roanoke up so much there would be a lot of trash on the upper end, wanted to see if there was a few on down anayways, found the ales flipping just after dark and the pattern to be about the same,(thunder stick on the bank and across rocky points). twelve stripers and four green ones for the night had four more come un buttened strippers seemed to smaller than what i have been catching above the bridge, all under seven pounds, ( i know a few guys that would liked to had them green ones though, three of them was over four ) all in all what i found was water 61, the ales where on the bank till midnight pretty heavy and then again around four am and back off at daylight, but with the fog on the lake so bad i was stuck in one creek for most of the nite seen a couple guys wondering so i figured i would post, midlake to r-12 very fishable and no trash. one question though, when i loaded the boat at the the ramp(8:00am) the ales where still all over the bank flipping by the thousands? do you think the weather has them messed up or will they spawn on up into the day? loked like a ale hatchery all over the bank! andy
