Weather: low 50's. Steady rain. Tackle: 9' surf rod. Abu-garcia 5300. 17 lb test. 1 1/2 ounce lead. No hook. Managed to put the weight over a branch on the third cast. Lowered the weight and tied on mason's line. Reeled that in and tied on 9 mm rope. Used that to pull the quarry away from the house and towards the slot between 2 protected saplings. Hooked the line to a come-along and put the pressure on. Made the cuts and got out of the way. i1142.photobucket.com/albums/n606/benpiotl/pic2_zps18d34a4b.jpg [/img] Just the one for today. Decided warm pizza and coffee someplace dry was in order.

Did you measure it? Looks like a citation by length!

Looks to me like it is in the slot. Better stand it up and let it grow.

so where do you plan on sinking that? Just a little upstream from Jake's, over tight to the docks.
