I called it a rain day though I probably could have found some work to do indoors.
Had a bucket of ale or threadfin from last night and added to it when I saw them breaking near the dock around 9:30 am and hurled the net.
Fished some free line and some weighted heavy with a leader to hopefully let the bait get up off the bottom. 4 rods out max.
Caught 4 flatheads in about 3 hours. They hit both set ups. First 3 were under 2 lbs just by eye but then an 11 pounder was a good way to end the morning. Released all. No other species made an appearance, which is odd. Usually I get a variety in this cove.

No stripers chasing those shad that morning? Not a bad way to spend a rainy morning.
