Water temp: 51F.
First off, sorry I don't have pics. Wanted to get the fish released quickly and did not take the time. Will try and get pics if I get lucky again.
I was able to find some fish in Craddock this AM. Caught one 11 lbs and one 12 lbs, both over 30" so released. Pulling 6" alewives caught under my light at the dock. Both caught on free lines. It is always amazing to me how hard these fish pull this time of year.
I caught three this past Tuesday near the dam, two keepers (right at 27") and one 30" which was released. All on alewives on free lines.
Will be here for 9 more days so hope to continue to find them close to home here in Craddock.

you're in a good area this time of year...... Yes. In the days right after we moved to the lake (mid to late 1990's), we could always count on outstanding fishing down here from March thru June. When the fish started moving out of Cedar Key after the spawn, we could count on the entire area filling with breaking fish for 2 weeks or so beginning around Memorial Day. And the fish were big! Those were really some great and fun times for striper fishing on this lake.
