Air temp - 30 -38 Water temp- 49 - 51 Focused on deep water points on the main channel, pulling jumbo shiners. Caught 4 from 27” - 30”. The free line hit first, been getting a lot of strikes that way lately. The next 3 came on light line planer boards. Two hit at the same time, a little tough when fishing alone, but I got them both in. All fish were released healthy, back at the dock by 9:30.

thanks for the report. Awesome work boating two fish at once by yourself. that is much easier said than done.

I'll second that comment! I fish alone 98% of the time and doubles or more at once can be a wild time, but fun. Good job!

They have been hitting pretty good in the morning, caught and released 5 today. I'm almost always alone, makes it hard to get a good picture as well!

Where are you finding jumbo shiners?

Where are you finding jumbo shiners? Captains Quarters and Franklin Outdoors carry them. My arthritis makes it difficult to catch shad.

Thanks for the report. I just got to my house on Craddock Creek and will be here for about 3 1/2 weeks so hoping to catch some fish. I almost always fish alone and never put out more than two lines. Have had doubles on several times and it always makes things interesting.
Hoping to catch them on live bait in the mornings and on my striper strike in the evenings. Nothing more fun than catching them on a top water plug.

Have had doubles on several times and it always makes things interesting. Hoping to catch them on live bait in the mornings and on my striper strike in the evenings. Nothing more fun than catching them on a top water plug. I have been running eight lines at a time. Three planer boards on each side, a redi-rig float, and a free line. They sometimes get tangled with a big fish on, but i take my chances.
