You are getting there man! Nice work!
I can assure you that if you want big bait, it is very catchable right now. I say this to enhance your next hunt!
It's a pleasure to watch you learn!

Thank you sir! I saw what i believe where pods of large baits a few times on the down scan but when i'd throw on them the net would come up empty. Maybe I haven't mastered the art of pinpointing where a pod is that I marked on the down scan.

Maybe I haven't mastered the art of pinpointing where a pod is that I marked on the down scan. None of us have mastered that art... Especially when the big boys are flying around. The best thing you can do if you believe Mongos are in the area is to throw relentlessly. After your skin falls off a few times, patterns become regognizable and your net gets more full. Keep your eye out for gizzard flips as well. If you see them, turn off your electronics and throw at the splash.

It seems like the big gizzards are really flying around right now, especially after a nets been thrown on them a couple times. I’ve been getting one good shot at them and then I move on and find another school. They’ve been thick enough that only a couple throws are required most days. Of course the days I’ve been in a hurry, it’s taken more than a couple throws!!
