AT 44 - 72 WT 47 - 51 Weather was absolutely beautiful , although I think the fishing would have been better with more wind. I ran a mix of mongos, money makers and dollar bills on pb's. with fifteen foot leads back off the bank some. Caught two fifteen pound stripers and had several blow ups that wouldn't commit. When fishing is slow and I find myself day dreaming and not watching the pb's, you guessed it. I saw one of my boards as it popped back up on the surface with bait gone. How in world a fish can avoid two hooks and take a bait is beyond me, I get the dang things hung up in everything. I also had bird problems, an osprey followed me for a while circling and diving at my spread. While trying to run that freaking thing off one of my boards took a dive, fish on! As I was playing the fish I heard a loud splash and looked back at the bank and the osprey got the bait that came off while I was playing the fish. So his badgering paid of with a mongo. First fish came off a dock buoy. The second fish came off this tree. Two decent fish, so I can't complain.
