Jason54 taught me everything I know. When I first started fishing about 3 years ago I knew nothing. He taught me everything from tying a knot to driving a boat. He has showed me all of his favorite fishing holes and let me fish them. I feel like his wife, kids, Dad, and Mom have welcomed me into their family. Growing up my 2 best child hood friends names were Jason and Dale. Yep you guessed it, Jason and his father Dale have become my 2 best friends. My daughter and I used mongos on planer boards. We caught 29.50 in, 36.50 in, 38.75 in fish for the day and all were released. Kaylee tying up the planer board I do need to add, gator taught me about taking a 5 gallon bucket. Many of you have helped in a lot of different ways. Thanks!

Congratulations!! You two caught some nice fish...... You and Kaylee make a great team, and should be very proud of your accomplishment. The picture of you two together, pretty much says it all.

We learn from many, but apply them in our own ways - don't belittle your own accomplishments - including that of being a great father & example to Kaylee. Congrats on win and great start overall to this season. May be something there for the rest of us to learn from with respect to patience & perseverance .

Harley , I reiterate what Mike said above. And kudos to Jason for sharing with you his knowledge and passion for this incredible addiction we all share. I am sure it makes him proud to see what a great fisherman ( and friend ) you have become. The time spent on the water with your daughter and the memories you two have made are priceless and really what it's all about , the fish and winnings are just an extra bonus !! Congrats to you both.

Thanks Jay, You are rite about it being a addiction. Its a thrill to bring one of those beautiful stripers on the boat which is the result of thoughtful hard work. Its like I said in the report from the last tournament, a lot of people sit at home thinking about catching fish and some people go out and do it. My hope is that my girls are learning to be the best at whatever they do in life. I don't say much about the fish Ive caught at check in or on the water from the stand point, I don't want it to come off as bragging or prideful. I know it seems as though I am stand offish about that. My heart goes out to the ones who really have a hard time putting fish in the boat and I don't ever want it to come out that I am bragging. My encouragement to people who struggle is to keep trying, ask questions on the forum, answer questions you can on the forum, always try to upgrade to make equipment better. I also want to give credit where credit is due to Jason who has answered question after question Ive asked. Here is one of the first questions I asked during a cold month. Jason, how to you keep your hands from getting cold after hooking shad and cleaning out filters. He was very patient and didn't laugh at me and answered my question. I also asked him about pulling the boards where the sun is in the face of stripers. We laugh and laugh at that one.... while wondering if there is any truth to it.

Harley, anyone that has spent more than 10 minutes with you knows you are not bragging or prideful. Your success is remarkable...............and consistent. You are a credit to all fathers, friends and fishermen. Keep up the good work.
Jason, I want to be your next student!
