Weather: Upper 30's to start, rising to upper 40's, still conditions to start, with some brisk winds from SE later in the day Water: 58, visibility of a few feet Techniques: 8-14" gizzards on free-line planer boards, and an occasional light-line Time Fished: 6:30 - 4:30p Had a chance to fish with Matt & David from Team Squidhound - they had a tank full of good bait so who's going to say no We had boards out just about when you could see them and started our pull - had our first fish to the boat before too long into the morning - nothing much to speak of but no skunk for the day. We pulled from the front of the creek down through the channel and around into the back, hitting a few strategic points and banks, picking up a couple more fish in there. Moved on up the lake and pulled a section of the main channel bank - had a very blow up, and the rod loaded up and got to fight the fish for a a very short time till the leader broke Was a decent fish for sure - one of those that came straight up to the top and rolled hard. Oh well - next time. We hit a few more spots on the upper end of the lake as the wind started to pick up - moved back down late in the afternoon and the wind was blowing worse - we had a little more action but hook-ups. We need up with 6 or 7 fish for the day with the largest going around 33-34" and mid-teens. Good day of fishing - and even better when I didn't have to throw the net . Thanks for the trip guys!
