Got out the last two mornings after finding some nice ales to 7". Pulling planer boards near main lake points. Both mornings the stripers were the most active from first light to 8:30. Saw a couple small schools breaking on top in 80 - 90' of water. Caught a 26" striper on Wednesday and a 28" today. Water temp 73` to 73.6`.
Last week ( 9/27 ) caught my personal best 38.5" - 25 lb. striper along with a 37.5" - 22 lb. striper. All in the same area of the Roanoke River, 1-2 miles above the bridge.
I have pics if I can get them posted.

Nice report. Can’t wait till the weather cools and the fishing picks up. Congrats on the pb.
