Tried all I knew to do except cut bait. Not even a nervous bait.
Used money makers, dollars, peanuts and large/ med. ales. Planers , floats, free and light. One down line. WT high 60's AT 65...... Building winds Headed home around 11:00 am. Ordered some Mexican food on the way and passed out on the couch from a carb coma in defeat. : (

I wish you woulda posted this yesterday before I left the house to achieve the same results!
I wonder what was going on out there? We weren't the only ones to struggle.

I went today- caught bait before daylight and then headed for the S-curves. Fished there a while, then further down the lake. Finally went down by the dam and fished a while. Absolutely nothing. Next tried up by the state park- caught a largemouth on a planer. Decided to go all the way up to Beaverdam creek. Had one pull back while I was pulling boards up there. Finally called it quits at 2:00 PM. Tough day of fishing. I DID notice several guide boats headed down the lake at daybreak- may have been headed to Blackwater ?? I am not familiar with the lower lake, and it appears by the postings on here that a lot of fish are headed that way right now. Still- it was a beautiful morning and better than being at work !
