Awesome to hear you had success first time out! To me learning how to get a good QTY of good bait is actually the hardest learning curve I had to figure out when I got started.

I thought I had made an expensive purchase when I first bought a net, now I'm several thousands into it. You never stop spending while striper fishing. If you had one dollar bill and caught one fish you did good. Congratulations that is awesome.

Awesome man. I am still on my first year striper fishing and yes you end up with a lot of money in it but just spread things out and it doesn't seem so bad. Lol

I'm right there with you man. I've just recently started pulling boards. Haven't caught a striper on SML yet with boards but have caught a couple at Lake Anna. GOOD JOB to you!

:-} Congratulations. Great report. Been doing this a long time and while it costs a bit to get started, once you get set up bait fishing can be pretty inexpensive (occasional pack of hooks. lead sinkers and leader).... unless you choose to upgrade your electronics regularly..... or get a bigger, better striper boat.... or upgrade your reels.... or decide to try catching stripers on fly tackle... or....... Maybe you are right after all

Oh my goodness, where to start. 1st time around was 30 something k boat, electric downriggers and all accessories, planer boards, cast net, bait tank modifications, landing nets until i found a good one, reels with line counters, ABU reels with clickers, specialty trolling amd jigging rods as well as serious casting rods with expensive bait casters on them, thousands of dollars in tackle, better trolling motor, batteries, anchors and rode, lights, rain gear holy moly it really does go on and on. Have fun, you only live once!
