Been a while (in fact a long while) since I have posted a report...will try to post more often.
Fished the upper Roanoke by Beaverdam in the evening on 4/17 using artificials casting to points had one on that threw the hook. So skunked and injury to insult got rained on pretty hard. WT was 68.4 in the channel and 72 back in the creek.
4/18 fished from 7AM til 9:30 in mid Roanoke again casting to points but this time using white super flukes with no weight and boated 5 stripers ranging from 20" to 28". All were released. Water temp was 68.4.

I always enjoyed catching stripers on weightless flukes, especially in clear water. It can be quite the visual! Good report!
