We waited till the storms passed then hit the water with some friends of ours coming along too. Bait was tougher, we must have sorted thousands of peanuts for a dozen decent moneymakers. Headed off to fish by 530 and by 630 we were on the move upstream after two lousy misses and a couple other swirls. We set down on top of the most bait I might have ever seen in the main channel and I decided it was what it was, daylight was fading. In short order we had a 35" to the boat after a pretty good chase. Then we dodged trash and spent our time until dusk shaking junk off our boards. Just as we were wrapping it up, a channel side board got smoked. That resulted in a 37" stud toad that went to battle at the boatside, which I hated every minute of watching it. We called it a night and hit every log on the way back to the ramp for good measure.
Water was 69ish. Air was about the same. Trash everywhere. Used moneymakers, pulled them out from the bank a few yards. Pics to come tomorrow.

Must have just missed you, I was pulling out of the parking lot when the storm started. I should've went up river. Many boats headed that way in the morning. Sounds like you had a good day. Nice fish.

We had the same, lots of small sticks that seemed to just cling to the board and all you could do was bring them in.
