Launched at 530 from penhook and had a tank of supermongos and alewives by 6pm. Caught them in bull run, it was easy with side scan. We rolled up to my favorite offshore rock pile and the co captain said big bait or bust, so that's what we did. Several blow ups and chases but no eating. I was half tempted to send out the alewives but by then we were committed. We skunked.
Water was 63. Moon still full. Skies clear with the feeling of post front high pressure. Fish were deep, 20' or more. Sweatshirt was stowed in dry storage. I guess it's gone now.

If I had caught big bait today that's what I would have done, go big or go home.
