Well we tried! Not much to report though.
I headed out of lynville at 3:30 with my wife and daughter. We went to a small creek and quickly loaded 30 gizzards into the tank. My daughter loved gathering the gizzards and putting them in the tank. Then she started throwing them back in the lake! Oops. My wife thinks I need a faster sinking net. Score?
We had bait by 4:30 so I decided to try out my new side scan and searched that creek for some crappie trees that can't be seen from the surface. I quickly found a couple and they both had fish around them. Another score. In hindsight, we should have just fished for them.
We headed to a stretch of main channel that is dock free. We set out a full bankside spread of gizzards. Blow ups and swirls the whole time but none actually taking the bait. We shoulda just stayed there and waited them out but I thought the fish might be making an evening push into a creek for the easy meal. So to a creek we went. We had a pair of big blowups within a couple minutes and I thought we were on the right track. Not so. We pulled the whole creek for only 1 more blowup and an 18" largemouth. Turns out my sweatshirt is bad luck. At least that's what I was told.
Water was about 61 everywhere, and slightly stained. Bait was just about everywhere. Side scan showed a lot of marks on the channel side of the boat. We put some baits out for them, but had no action.

Sounds like you're getting a new castnet and a new sweatshirt!

I don't mind the cast net bit. The sweatshirt though, it's staying as a staple in boat wear and that's non negotiable. I'm hoping I can slime it tomorrow. Someone washed it recently and that's probably the cause. Lol.
