I got to the lake this afternoon.. I did some scouting this afternoon. In hopes to find some fish for tomorrow. As, I only have one day to fish. I couldn't find any stripers.. There was some bait in the back of creeks. But, I didn't mark any stripers. I checked Indian , Stoney and Campers. I am thinking about trying up lake tomorrow around the tennis courts. I just can't decide if I should pull on the main lake or pull the creeks. Any thought fellow SML forum members? (Creeks or main Lake) Then it was time to get some bait. Lucky for me Travis told me where there was a bunch money makers shad were at.. He was right, they were there.. Thanks Travis.
The gizzards were in about 10 feet of water in the very back of the creek..

When you find the bait, the stripers should be near by. Good luck.

Way more bites to be had on the main channel now, they are preparing for their big move. Also, just as many bites on the channel side boards as the bank side. Not going to mark a bunch of fish right now, they are shallow, even over deeper water.

Ok, Thanks guys.. I am just looking for action for my family members that will be on the boat.. I will try main lake. I am going to start uplake near cow fields and work my way back. I am thinking, I will have to run into fish at some point. I am going to put out medium size gizzards and run them pretty shallow and run a few alewives a bit deeper and see what happens.
Just a FYI to guys that might want a bait update.. There was lots of bait in the back of all three creeks I checked.. In water from 15' to 5' deep.
Thanks again, for the replies guys

Main channel. Found out the hard way tonight when we left some fish to find others in creeks that weren't there. Too much bait in the creeks and fish preparing to move.

To echo others advice , I mentioned in my 4/5 report that the fish seemed to have pulled out to deeper water. So another vote for main channel.

Big fat zero... marked some fish at 20 and 30 feet. I was running my spread pretty shallow which might have been a mistake.. who knows.

Don't feel bad - I was out yesterday evening and never saw stripes either. I think I was around some based on my baits, but not much going on bite was. The moneymaker or silver dollar population is just out of control - they actually are a little annoying but I won't complain too much! Ha - this fall should be fun times if they grow an inch or two over the summer months.

Yeah, you can't catch them all the time... If we have time I might take my 3 year old out for an hour right near the house tonight. She like being on the boat and checking out the bait. A stripper would be a bonus.

A Stripper would be a bonus Try late morning to early afternoon - when there is a full moon I've found it to be a much later bite.

My son and I got out this morning to get the skunk off of the boat. We could only fish until 8:30 so we needed to get a fish in the boat fast. We went back to the same spot as yesterday where we marked some fish. But, this time I had 1/4oz weights on and more line out behind my boards so, I could get the bait down a bit deeper. The adjusted worked. We had 4 bites in no time and boated two. Felt good to get a fish in boat.

Yeah, usually it takes me a day or two to firgure things.. By the time I have things firgured out it is usually time to go home. But, I like it that way as I am all about the hunt.
Also btw, all fish were caught on the main lake.. I think most of the fish were about 20 to 30 feet deep.
