AT 50 - 72 WT 55 - 59.8 Sunny skies until 1:00 with clouds rolling in for the evening. Winds 4 mph. Gusting to 11mph. SSE. After 4:00 gusts to 21. I decided to fish areas I have never fished before. Caught 5 all 24 - 29" not what I was hoping for size wise. But beats a skunk. Lost three fish close to the boat. I'm not sure why I had so much trouble staying hooked up. Lots of chases, tail smack's , they had the shad jumping over the planers trying to escape. I believe they were all smaller in size. The fish seemed to have pulled back out to deeper water. Just took a couple pics... who wants to see small fish.... Right? I left those fish to try and find bigger ones, but it didn't work out for me. Yeah, left fish to find fish.

Beats my day of driving.
Sometimes ain't a thing you can do about them little ones. They are more prevalent in some areas than others for some reason. I'm always up for a change of scenery no matter the size of fish.
Them little guppies ain't gonna win you the tournament though.......

I don't mind seeing smaller fish at all. They are gonna be big fish one day.
It seems to me there is a pretty solid bunch of 25" to 30" fish right now. Can't have biguns without small ones.

I'll take small fish over no fish any day. Nice report and good catching in new places.
