Weather: mid 50's warming to 70 and cloudy most of the day. Water: 51-53 Techniques: 3 bankside freeline planers. 1 lightline float out the back. Bait: Mixed batch. (all action on the smaller bait though)
We fished 3 blackwater creeks with only action in one creek. Started out in Standiford along with what I believe was half of the striper fishing fleet on the BW...pulled both sides with no action to speak of. Never really marked any bait balls or fish either...hmm.
Moved up river a little and started marking bait and scattered fish. Started pulling and about halfway down the stretch the float rod starts screaming. I grab the rod and hand it to my wife (who's also 38 wks pregnant!) and she fights it in. Ended up being her PB @ a fat 31". This was the smallest bait I had out.
We regrouped and continued the same stretch, few minutes later the middle planer gets buried. I grab it again and hand it to her. It come unbuttoned shortly after. Decide to circle back and hit the same point where the action came from and this time the front planer goes down. I keep it this time. This one was smaller @ 29". All and all a good day on the water.

Nice report. What are you going to name the little one if she has the baby while out fishing on the boat?
