I'm part of the green tank club now! I played for about 9 hours catching bait Fri. I ended up with about 8 mongos, and a dozen 6-8 inch alewives. Thanks cool hand Luke for putting me on the mongos. Fished sat am and ended up with a 32 in, 26 in, and lost one at the boat. Went on a bait hunt without any success and fished the pm bite without a bite. I enjoyed my 22 hours in the boat and on the water. Going home. WT 50-57

What kind of shad are those and where did you catch them? I think we need to find out where bent rod found his bait out, or find the shed tank

What kind of shad are they and what does the green light do for the shad? Oh, they are gizzards and alewives in the tank. As far as the green light, it looks cool to me, and I kind of wonder if it doesn't calm the shad down some. The professional bait guys on here could answer that better then me. I'm just trying to be like them

The main thing it does is help you see your bait to pick the "right" one early in the morning or late evening. However, I also believe that the light helps them to get lighter in color quicker - get that tan, cured out look. I have a white LED light on mine - though a lot of the pics have a greenish look due to the tint of the water - or algae stain I had on the bottom of the tank until cleaning it recently.
