Got up to the lake Friday evening right before dark. Put water in my tank and took off to get bait hoping to be done quick because I knew it was going to get icy. Rolled the dice on a close creek. Got lucky and was able to fill up with 70 baits in the 6"-10" range in about 4 throws. I was back to my dock in 30 min. If only it were always that easy. Had lines out by 6:30 Saturday morning. Had a bunch of nervous baits but couldn't get a hit. Considered moving but decided to stick to see if they would turn on. Finally once the sun got up in the sky they turned on got two 28" a nice fat 30" and this 35" that went right around 19lbs on my bogas. Things kind of cooled off action wise. Made a move was able to pick up another 28". Moved again and picked up a 29" on a flat. Just as my TM batteries crapped out caught a huge green fish. Didn't weight it but had to be 6 or 7 lbs. Sunday I was planning on letting it warm up a bit since the bite was slow first thing in the morning the day before. Had lines in by 7:30 and it was on right away. Picked up 5 in pretty quick fashion all ranging from 28" to 30". Had lots of action, I missed a few and had some pretty spectacular chases that never materialized. Things cooled off again. Was able to put one more 29" in the boat before I had to head out for the weekend about 10:30

Nice report! Looks like you need to have Mward bring his pressure sprayer over to your place and detail your boat. I hear he only charges a dollar per foot of boat to get it spotless!!

Almost didn't post that pic because of how dirty my boat is. Water is cut off at the dock for the winter. It's driving me crazy can't wait to clean it up.

Try a 5 gallon bucket of lake water....put a bit of Starbrite deck cleaner with PTEF in it and a scrub brush and you are good to go! Or buy a pontoon with vinyl flooring and dont worry about it...took me maybe 10 mins to clean my boat up this weekend ;-)
Ever decide if you are getting a new sled?

Nice report. Yeah, if bait were always that easy it would be great.

That boat looks perfect - these clean white boat pictures are an embarrassment to live bait fishermen everywhere. A dirty boat is a happy boat.
