3/4 and 3/5 on the BW... Great and not so great

Headed to the lake Friday night with a buddy of mine. Took us a while to load up with dollar bills Friday night. Bait seemed to be very scattered. The decks icing up didn't help matters either.
Started fishing Saturday morning in a major BW Creek. WT was 46 to 49 degrees and AT was freaking cold. Wasnt long until we had our first fish on. Fish just barely pulled the board under and my buddy commented that it was probably a small catfish.... Wrong.
We fished that creek until about noon and boated 7 fish between 26 and 30 inches.
We went to restock bait after that and changed creeks for the afternoon. Was able to catch 4 more late in the afternoon all in that 26 to 30 inch range.
Started out again Sunday morning in a different creek and did not getting any action at all. Bait was flipping all around us and we even had a lot of birds in the area but no fish. We switched spots to where we had success the previous evening and finally boated a 28 fish that swirled and hit a 10 inch gizzard about a dozen times and finally got the stinger hook stuck in him.
Called it quits at noon without so much as a single other bite or nervous bait.
