Had starter issues with the boat when I got down on Saturday got that fixed and tried a close creek right at dark for bait with no luck. Had a bunch of Turkeys roost right next to us. Lots of calling and gobbling. The ales at my dock were nice size but didn't come in until 3am and were super spooked. I did manage to get maybe 20. Went back down at 6 am and they bolted as soon as I lightly stepped on the dock. Headed out with those. Had one good hit in Standiford that my buddy missed the hookup then got a tip from Cohesion on some shad. Got up and found the bait at 15-25fow in 30fow. This was my first time locating and throwing off the boat. I had several throws with no luck, but I did manage to get a couple good throws that filled the tank with mixed size shad. Pulled gills and Bullrun with 2 more hits and one hook up that came unbuttoned after a short fight. It was very windy and my trolling motor died right after the hook up at 2:45pm. Not a great day as far as fish go but we had a blast trying and catching those shad. Just one more throw was said at least 10 times. lol. Very blessed to be able to get out on the water. Thanks everyone that shared tips.

I never would have thought that bait fishing was as much fun as striper fishing, but I'll tell you, I think more about if and how I'm going to get a dozen baits than I ever worry about a skunk.
Thanks for the report.

Aaah - I love hearing someone else use the "Just one more throw line"!
Way to stay persistent out there! Wish you could have got some of those hookups to the boat.
