Hit the water Friday about 11:30. Quickly loaded a tank up with what I guess are dollar bills (8-9"). Fishes the afternoon and caught two. One of them was a nice 32". It was very heavy fish for 32".
Next morning we were out at sunrise and it was on. Boated 7 that morning. Missed probably 10 due to hook turn ins and just getting to the rod late. The second fish would always bite at a bad time. Not a lot of operating room in a 17' skiff. It was a fun morning. Most action we have ever had.
All fish on blackwater. All fish on freeline planers.
I was expecting to have to downline for fish. I saw two others post that they caught them on planers last weekend too. Is it odd to be catching them on boards this time of year? It has been pretty mild winter so far?

Here's the 32". Picture doesn't really do the fish justice.

Great job. That's always a good day when you have that much action.

What's on top of your bait tank? A lid... In all seriousness people love to sit a beverage (beer, coffee, or otherwise) there and it almost always ends up in the tank.
