AT 30-55 WT 44-52 My truck door was particularly stuck from the rain that had frozen from the night before. Had to give it a good jerk to open it. So l headed for the lake. I went to my bait hole and water was muddy and lots of debris floating...dang l netted plenty of crappie and white perch, but no gizzards. I discovered the bait had went deeper, around 20 to 25'. Filled the tank up with dollar bill size gizz. and a few money maker, couple of 12" mongos. Even gave some bait to fellow fisherman who was having trouble catching it. Went to a favorite stretch of bank an put out a mongo on the bank planer and got started on the next planer. The bank planer disappear so I grabbed the rod and set the hook. 32" fish. Since I didn't have all my lines out I made a large circle to get set up for another pass. Put the other mongo on and got to the same spot and the board disappeared. I set the hook and this fish was screaming the drag. It felt like a good-un and I was thinking hog about that time the hook pulled. Dang@#%$ Went down the bank with no more mongos to offer up and had a float line hookup. Lost it half to the boat. Never got another sniff until sundown. Hit some scattered fish and while I was changing to a fresh bait letting line out a fish chased it all around on the surface. I stopped the boat but it never ate the bait. A short distance another planer goes down. 25"fish. Brought it home for blackening. I really thought this window between fronts would pay better dividends. But I was wrong. Hey, no skunk though.

Great report buddy. Hate to hear about the loss on the hog. But definitely not a skunk day for you. Good job.

That's a nice vote of confidence guys. I have learned a lot from the forum members on this site and the Smith Mt.Striper Club. I have much more to learn though. Thanks to all that contribute.
