Hit the water at 3:30 to look for bait was very difficult in the daylight. Bait was deep. Have a new tim wade net on the way that I hope will make it easier to catch deep bait. Came in for dinner and when we came back out the bait was up and spread out and we were able to load up. The next morning we hit a favorite spot and fished it for a few hours with no luck at all. We did see a lot of fish on the first pass. On the second pass they had vanished. Picked up and moved down the lake to a main point. On the next 7 passes we had a bite each time and put 3 fish in the boat. Went back to the same spot that afternoon and picked up four more fish. Biggest was 33". Second biggest right at 30". All fish were on shad from 4" to 8". Mongo never got touched. Saw water temps from 54 to 58. It was a fun day once the bite started. Steady action. Will be back next weekend but not fishing tournament I don't think.

Nice report! What size net from Tim do you have coming? I'm in the need for one to catch deep bait also.
