So I hit the water this morning around 9, got nice bait ranging from 7" to 3". Started off pulling 2 boards one with no weight and one with an 1/8 oz. Had one down line around 10-15 ft. And caught NOTHING. Seriously!!!! I mean it's like since October the fishing is slowing down, it usually picks up as it cools. Ran into another guy taking out when I did who had a great day, he had several nice flatheads and 2 nice stripes. Said he had been fishing around 40-50 ft. Guess I missed them by about 38 ft. Oh well, there's always next week. Modifies on my livewell worked out good, I plumbed it so that the water comes in half way down in the water and flows around the tank instead of spraying. So now the shad are able to swim in a current as it flows around the tank. End of the day still had 15 nice shad as frisky as when they went in, I lost none, and no little red noses!

Thanks for the post. I'm with you on the fishing lately. I done real well back in October and not so well this month. Hope our luck picks up soon .
