My daughter and I went looking for bait Fri after dark. About a hour into the hunt she was huddled up shivering. So we headed back to camp in the van. I decided to take her back home sat morning. She wanted to stay but it was going to be colder in the morning. I got back on the water about 930 am in search of bait. I hunted and hunted and then hunted some more. After about 5 hours there were 2 mongos, 1 dollar, and several silver dollars in the tank. The biggest takeaway from the day was practicing throwing the net while controlling the boat. I decided to fish with a couple hours of daylight. 3 bank side pbs, 1 float, 1 creek side pb all with the smaller bait. No dice. Changed to the bigger bait with not much light left. The bait began to get nervous! Just not anxious and nervous! No dice. Darkness had fallen and it was time to go. I sure hope the silver dollars take some steroids and grow up fast. Lol A couple of guys did stop to see if I needed any bait. Very generous, thanks if you read this. The boat is smelling raunchy! I enjoyed the day, it was beautiful and I did hear some turkeys. The bait was tough yesterday. The smaller baits were very restless and would swim under the nets. I was getting scattered dollar bills here and there. That old green house area where you were at was loaded up though. One cast there and I had plentyy of dollar bills. I think the lack of bite is all coming down to boat traffic on the weekends being too much. The bite takes about 30 minutes of wake free traffic to really come on, and with so many back and forthers it just ain't happening.

Bait was flipping everywhere. The flips just seemed like they were small though. I hope the bait grows up fast so I can catch em.
