I left the dock at 6 am to find a spot to fish. Im glad I left early so I could take my time due to boat traffic and fog. I was a little nervous. Once I arrived I prepared my equipment for lines in. Once the lines were in, i found a quick taker of a mongo. 31 inches, happily released, did not turn pic in for tournament results. From the time I left the dock until 9am I was very busy. I eventually found a moment to eat a breakfast biscuit. Another striper received my offering of a mongo. He landed on the board at 32 inches. Released and pic was turned in The catch left me with 3 poles tangled up in pbs and line. Once I straightened out I redeployed and found a 33 inch striper that wanted on prime time. Released and pic turned in In the midst of all the action I lost about a dozen mongos in my tank. To try and save the rest of mongos I emptied the tank and refilled with new water. It was tough trying to keep them alive. At one time water was coming back through the clear line of the danco pump. I really dont understand why but I changed the battery, blew through the clear tube, and cleaned around the pump and I once again had bubbles. I kind of wonder if my pump is going bad. Before the end of the trip, a 29 inch striper wanted the taste of a mongo. I didnt get his pic but he returned quickly with his family. All in all I lost 3 other fish from start to finish. It was enjoyable to hang out with friends at the awards ceremony. Thanks to everyone who recently helped with my knot problem. I have already begun to retie all of the liters and preparing for my next trip which I hope is soon. Ive already bribed my wife and daughter to join me at the next tournament. They love the tournament shirt and hoodie! The bad days Ive had sure make the good days sweet!

Some serious props Primetime - took it on solo and placed strong! Imagine what you'll be able to do with the girls on the boat!
If you're getting water coming out your airline, you may be getting some back pressure - shoot a pic next time you can of the plumbing setup - pump to dannco. A slow pump (due to low battery) should not cause that I do not believe.

I crossed my wires and had a very similar experience. Mwurd remembers that one. It will still pump water but wont pull enough air through to keep em alive.

I am very thankful for everyones help since i became a forum member over a year ago. Last year, my first tournament was a tough experience. I learned from that event to take a 5 gallon bucket with me in case nature wanted to call. Gator shared that piece of advice. Haha. Thanks. I didnt even go to the awards ceremony it was that tough. I have gotten to know you guys over time and feel i can be myself. I get away from my responsibilities of work and fish with your help. I really mean it when I say thanks. My accomplishments this past sat. were a result of people teaching me their passion for striper fishing. I still have a lot of questions to ask and hopefully I can continue to share the little bit I learn
