Made the drive up and got to the lake about 2 o'clock on Friday.... Was awkwardly warm compared to last year at this time. Bait was not too bad for me to find on friday, i threw and weeded through some smaller baits to get the baits of choice! Ran up the lake friday to assess the water and just go for a cruise, hit a couple spots and had a hit that came unbuttoned. No worries, I had tomorrow to try to catch some fish! Went back to the inn about 5PM, talked with Arch and gator for a while (if you haven't done this, you MUST!!) about plans for Saturday and the fish we have all caught, it was a good time. Laid down and hit the hay about 9:30.. Was awake at 4:00 and got the boat loaded and went on the hunt for more bait, it was tough this time... I threw the net for at least an Hour and a half straight to get about 2 dozen decent baits. Then we motored up to our spot up the lake a bit, i backed off the throttle and it was 6:59. Got the token and set our lines out. As the bail clicked over to set the board we had our first fish in the boat within 2 minutes of setting out. It was small at 22" but hey, it was a fish! Ended up catching 6 in total, the biggest two were 28' and 29 1/2" long... Not enough to do anything with but i was happy given the weather the way it was, and the fact i am no pro at the lake... Two separate occasions we had two boards go off at the same time! I am looking forward to December tournament as well! It was great to see everyone, Thank you for all the insight on the tank, my new Dannco venturi and filters did great!
