Set out this morning with Lund1 and one other buddy, had some good 6-10" gizz. Fished boards along the banks, main channels and everywhere I between. The 20mph winds didn't help. Long story short we got a big fat skunk, at lest for the morning that is. We'll be out again tonight.
I'm thinking this little cold front put the fish in a lull. If anyone else had success this morning any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The only reason I'm not still fishing is bc I have to let my trolling motor battery recharge after fighting the wind this morning

There's a longstanding rumor, insinuation, wives tale....maybe even a legend....that there are no fish in the Blackwater. Well....I can confirm it. It's true.

You always hear that the wind is your friend. I call BS on that. I hate fishing the wind. Actually I despise it really. This evening concentrate on the wind blown banks and cover your water column fairly good (both sides). Fall cold fronts tend to push the fish a little deeper than usual. Yall are tough fishing today. I'll give you that. I stayed at the house. I'm gone fish the evening tomorrow.

Get in a creek, find a place the wind has been blowing into and sink some small bait.
