Put in at Moormans and starting fishing around midnight. Water temps were at 67 degrees. First couple hours the moon made it feel like daylight, which I don't like. Once the fog set in the action picked up. Caught 3 fish on Rapala F18s. Two of the fish were 10-11 lbs and the last was an 8 pounder. Heard a lot of fish eating but spaced out sporadically.

Are you fishing the F18 as a topwater wake bait?

No I just steady retrieve them. They dive 6-11 feet.

Thanks for the info. I will have to give it a try. Are you fishing near the bank or out in deeper water?

The 3 we caught were about 30-40 foot from banks but we heard plenty eating on the banks. The colors I prefer are chartreuse and the vampire.
