Against my better judgment john and i set out yesterday morning in the rain and trash and mud. Got to lake around 630am loaded boat up and went on a bait hunt. Bait was easy loaded tank up with money makers and mongos on out skirts of trash lines only thing was for every mongo came a carp as well. Trolled for a few miles moving logs and trash out of the way untill we finally found the break. On the way we seen lots of trees, logs, balls, and even a dock floating in middle of channel. Set boards out and managed to catch one fairly fast got him all the way to boat and he pulled the hook before we got him netted. Skunk was upon us. Then about 10 mins later i looked at my graph and said john big tree on bottom need to reel down lines up (nope to late hung). After messing with re ties and re gathering we decided ro put out again. Ended up landing 2 more fish and called it a day. They seemed not to play around no bait chase or flips just boards sinkin fast. Noce rainy day to kick off fall
