WT 71-73 AT 58-69 ish Cloudy and breezy I fished freeline and light line planers , light line floats and down lines. Bait was a few mongos, dollar bill gizzards and med. - large ales. I know that I had at least six boards pulled back before connecting which I lost halfway to the boat. I am thinking about going to J hooks and ditching the circle hooks for planer boards. I finally hooked up on a float no fooling around. A touch over 35 inches and 15 pounds. I came up on a windblown pocket and marked some fish. And two floats and a planer took off, yehaw! I managed two in the boat. I put stinger hook on a mongo and all that fooling around stopped but so did the pull backs. . Things quickly slowed up as fast as it started. So i headed in searched for bait to replenish what had been used. First cast and a rubber lipped mongo came up. Bout 6 lbs. Got bait and went looking for more fish. Dollar bill gizzards on down lines were the ticket here. And let's not forget Mr. Flatcat. . 8.5 lbs. coming home for the frying pan. I watched the DGIF set a Gill net across from the last spot I fished. Very enjoyable trip, saw probably at lease 30 deer. And heard beagles have rabbit race, they finally ran it in a hole. Sweet sounds and sites of fall. Come on in boys the waters fine!

Awesome report. I'm stuck in Nashville for a conference and am now officially dying. Thanks!
I switched from circles to J hooks a few years back. I like them because I feel like I can set the hook. I'm less timid with J hooks. Plus, it's fun to step up to the rod and swing for the fences!
