Primetime and I decided to give it a try after the SMSC club meeting. We headed to the ramp at around 9pm and waited out a storm until 10:30. Bait was tougher than we had hoped. After nearly an hour of throwing on some lights we had enough bait to at least give it a try. We put out a few down lines and marked a school but they were tiny. 12 to 14 inch fish. We got one in the boat but they mostly just ruined our bait. We went on the hunt for more bait but the lights we either being thrown on or holding tiny bait. We finally located a light that had a few nice bait holding on it and headed back to our target area with enough bait to finish the night. It turned out to be a good decision as we landed 4 more stripers 2 of them were the same small size as before but one went 30" and the last one was 24" It was a good night. The new boat performed great. I'm looking forward to fall!
