Is there a free contour map of the lake online? I did a quick google search and didn't find anything.

As an FYI - Navionics has a download for smartphones that can also come in pretty handy if your fishfinder doesn't have the level of detail you are looking for. The app costs a couple of bucks though.

I think it was $9 a year. Very well worth it.

Agree on the phone app as well..... have had it for quite a while and makes day-dreaming while in a meeting a lot easier now Seriously though - I have Navionics charts in my fish-finder, but the app is useful for quick searches - its' a lot easier to scan areas of water - pan & zoom - on the phone than it is on the unit on the boat - so if I decide I want to look some specific feature before making a run, I'll pull out the phone/app to do that. The Web access is nice however - same base charts as available on the phone or chart-plotter (though you can get the premium 1' contour on the app and chart-plotter) - but it's nice reviewing larger areas on a PC or laptop screen vs. a phone. A tablet/iPad is a good viewer too, but Navionics used to sell the tablet (iPad, etc) app for more money than the phone app - not sure what the pricing model is now.
