Hey I'm finally getting ready to start my Striper season, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I'd have the best luck finding them whether it's day or night and it really doesn't matter the location either. Thanks!

During the day check the back of coves. it shouldnt be hard to find this time of year, but not a lot of people are willing to give up exact locations to their bait honey holes....

ahh..... out for the summer now huh Penn? Savor those days..... Honestly, this time of year my bait catching happens at night on the lights... but its because I'm transitioning to fishing smaller bait, but larger bait is on the lights too.... A little hard to provide more specific help without specifics on what is being looked for - big gizzards, juvenile gizzards, alewives, etc.... but May/June is pretty much "the easy button" when it comes to getting bait at night.

Most of the bait I saw on the sounder last week was at 20-30 feet deep and in very small schools. Makes them hard to catch. I waited until dark, only to find my submersible light had crapped out. The Hardy area doesn't have much in the way of dock lights.
