I have this app downloaded an have been using it for a year or so. Went to lake Wednesday tha table rated it at 61percent (good day) ,fished late afternoon major feeding period. Caught fish , lost fish and had multiple bites. Went yesterday tha table rated it at 18 percent (poor day). Fished major feeding period in late afternoon and didnt even get a bite, seen one fish chase my bait. My question is how many people fish by tha moon and everybodys opinion on it? I know we cant always go by it for certain conditions and alot times we fish when we can, jus curious wat everyone else thinks about tha subject ?

I've used an app before that will tell you best feeding times. Can't remember the app name, and lost it when I switched to a new phone! It went by the moon rise and moon set, it really worked well, might have just been my mind, but I did catch more fish by the app times. In my opinion fishing the moon does help to an extent....but when they are hungry, they are hungry and gotta eat! I'm one of the ones that fish when I can so not always possible to hit the water at the exact right time. Plus here in a couple more months I will be off the water by noon or 1 o'clock due to the boat traffic.

When I was younger and working, raising kids, etc, I fished when I could, and never considered the solunar calendar. Now that I'm retired, I can fish whenever I want, and I still don't consider the solunar calendars. I just never held much stock in them other than to tell me when a full moon was coming around. The fishing for stripers is different under a full moon, and I like to be prepared for that scenario. The few occasions I did refer to one before a trip, didn't really seem to pan out much, one way or the other. I've had good trips when a calendar said I shouldn't, and bad trips when it said I should, so who really knows?

I agree with ghost. Though, when comparing the solunar chart with my outings, it can be surprisingly close to accurate. I think weather plays a much bigger role overall, but I do fish moon phases at times when I have the option to do it.
Some of my very best days have come when the weather and solunar table line up just right. This has happened more times than I care to chalk up to pure coincidence.

For what it's worth, I still fish whenever I can and adjust accordingly to real time conditions.
