Putting in at state park w a buddy. Small boat, anything been going on? Any help would be appreciated.. been a long time for me... Sold boat last year,lol. Saving for new one... the saving not going so well...... have umbrella rigs, jigs etc... thanks!!!

may use live, just don't have a shad tank... maybe could keep em in a fish basket over the side.. or would that work....lol

If the boat has a live-well you can likely catch and keep smaller bait and even some money-makers for a days' worth of fishing if its recirculting & aerating... water temps are still cool enough.
Pound those points with swimbaits & jigs...... works this time of year.....

Fished last night untill midnight with artificials only. Caught 6 and lost a few with the biggest being 35 inches-others were 26-29 1/2 inches. Good fat fish.
Caught them on a 3/8 ounce fluke and a couple on a deep diving rattling rougue.
Didnt have a bite on main channell points. Secondary points and near the back of the creeks.
If I were you in that small boat I would put in at Indian Point and fish that area hard.

Fish the backs of creeks and points in creeks with bucktails. The fish should show themselves this time of year.
