Forecast says it's going to be a little chilly on the lake this weekend. I fished last year or year before on a 12 degree morning and had a decent day. Was wondering if I will be the only one out there this weekend??

A good fisherman is extremely capable of getting under the skin of his/her mate at the right time. An excellent fisherman has the ability to be welcomed back time and time again.

I am interest in the rod holders inserted into the chrome rope anchors on this boat. Does any one know what they are called?

Gimbal mount rod holders Note that Scotty makes a Gimbal adapter that slides in the holder and then you can attach a Scotty or Cabelas Quikdraw type rod holder. I use a couple of these to get a few more rods out on my boat.

I am interest in the rod holders inserted into the chrome rope anchors on this boat. Does any one know what they are called? It’s a Drift Master Rod Holder ½ in. Pro Duo Troller w/ 10” S.S. extended shaft. Model # 45510-H All I did was buy a S.S. ½ nut and washer and install it on top of the cheat with the wing nut on the bottom. I had to trim the wash down a little so it would not hit the fiberglass on the boat. It was egg shape with competed. I bought them from bottomdwellerstackle.com

I need something as well and here is one I came across a month or so ago that seems like a neat concept. Have not used them so no review. www.carolinarodholders.com/

Thanks for the info. I have a Ranger bass boat, but would like to dabble in trolling for stripers a little with my dad without to much expense. Are there any good guide up there who I could take him with? Would it be a good time to go?

We go out with him a couple times a year. The man knows how to get you into fish. Always a great time with plenty of catching going on!!!
