has anybody ever ran flukes on planer boards. and if so do you add any weight the the flukes.

I have tried it with not much luck. Go to a walleye board those guys run all types of artificials on boards.

just seems like it would work. I caught 4 on sunday casting a fluke so just got me thinking. So thanks for the reply.

I know some guys that run artificals behind boards. Not sure if they run flukes or just plugs (think plugs). I'd think you'd need some weight on them to get them down. Alabama rigs can be trolled behind boards - just need a tight release clip

I would rather catch one dink with something crazy I came up with on my own than catch a pig using typical methods. In other words... Get on it! Make yourself a crazy rig with wires that troll 5 or 6 flukes all at once. Then put out boards, all of which contain your creations. They will only work if everyone else believes they won't!

I run deep diving plugs (redfins - 10-12' divers) on boards. Works for me but tight turns are a no no. Never tried U rigs on boards but might give it a try after your suggestion.
