Hello,
I've been to SML once this past Fall and want to return in the Spring. I'm looking for general info on when the Largemouth spawn happens on SML.
Thanks in advance

I would suggest the 2nd week of April thru the middle of May. I agree with Greg, but you always have to consider the weather (late spring, early spring) and water temperature. Cold water could throw it off 1-2 weeks in April.

Thanks and that was what I was thinking, but someone told me Mid March, could they have been thinking the Rock spawn? I booked the first week of May so if nothing else maybe the weather will be nice and not so crowded yet!

FWIW, Historically, water temps in late March are in the upper 50's to even low 60's so some bass will already be making or on their beds with females. April brings multiple tournaments so by the 1st of May bed fishing is pretty much done and the fish are very scattered as they make their way from being let lose at the tournament sites back to their home ranges. The 1st couple of weeks in May can be tough but then later in May can be very good.
Personally I wish all tourney's in April were MLF style so the bass could be dropped back on their beds instead of being weighed in & released somewhere else.
