Felt like today was a let down. Had a great tank of bait but no takers. Fished from Walton's up to Becky's with no takers on good size ales & small gizzards. B&B was crowded. Broke out U-rig around 10am had two small takers. Long morning. Should I move up or down? WT80-81 AT Humid! Going back out in the morning.... Help!

I hear ya. I covered a LOT of water today, doing a LOT of looking from just below the bridge to down at the confluence of the Roanoke and Blackwater. Never found any big schools - I'm sure there were a few out there and I probably zigged when I should have zagged. Did spot a few pods here and there and put out bait a few times - picking up three small ones - basically one each spot I dropped bait. Had some beautiful ales but think they on average too big for some of these fish - had a number of pull downs and think the fish just had the tails of the bait. Quit about 10:30.

I was frustrated as well did not mark nothing but singles. All the boats at B&B were in the middle of the Roanoke not really at the mouth. Didn't see anyone pull anything in. A lot of monkey see monkey do to me. Trying to decide to head above B&B or down below the S curves? What would be the pattern? Kind of a warm end to the week after some cool mornings.

30 minutes before dark, we caught a 36" in the R24/R22 area, then lost the school.
